Last year, our company Outsourcify‘s team embarked on our 2023 company trip to Pattaya, and it was one for the books! From November 29th to December 1st, we had the perfect mix of relaxation, adventure, and bonding between colleagues. We first did a yacht trip, spent a night in a beachfront hotel in Jomtien and then a night in a pool villa where we had a party.
One of the highlights was definitely our first stop for lunch at Lung Sawai Seafood Restaurant on Jomtien Beach. This place holds a special place in our heart, as we used to frequent it when I lived in Jomtien. Situated at the very end of the 7-kilometer-long strip of Jomtien Beach, it’s one of the oldest restaurants in the area. It’s not fancy, but you can always count on fresh seafood at great prices.
Positioned on Jomtien Beach just south of Pattaya, it’s actually the last restaurant on the 7km long strip of Jomtien beach, one of the oldest there too. When I lived in Jomtien I used to come often after a walk along the beach. This restaurant offers a simple and genuine Thai seafood experience with an expansive menu of fresh seafood, it’s not the fanciest but good quality for the price. It’s a large, beachfront establishment known for its quick service and reasonable prices, despite being a favorite among locals. The atmosphere is casual and lively, but it’s very simple, not geared towards a romantic setting, though patrons can enjoy picturesque sea views and a pleasant breeze. The popularity of the venue might lead to occasional waits sometimes, it is a notable choice for families and large groups seeking authentic Thai seafood in a relaxed environment.
After lunch, we headed straight to the marina for the part of the trip everyone was looking forward to—a yacht trip! We set sail around 3 PM and spent the rest of the afternoon soaking in the tropical vibes. Jet skiing, paddleboarding, lounging in the Jacuzzi, and even a banana boat ride—it was an adrenaline-pumping afternoon, capped off by a beautiful sunset.
On the second day, after a relaxed breakfast, we spent the morning at the beach before heading to a Pool Villa we rented for a beach-themed party. The villa had a great setup for fun and games, including a highly competitive round of musical chairs. What really made the day special, though, was celebrating our daughter Melody’s birthday with a delicious buffet dinner under the stars.
Aside from our company activities, Pattaya has a lot to offer. If you’re ever in the area, I’d recommend checking out Natan’s Restaurant in Jomtien for a taste of authentic French cuisine. We dined there on our second evening, and as a Frenchman myself, I can attest to the quality, and this since many years.
Situated in Jomtien, a tranquil beach just south of bustling Pattaya, this French restaurant on a street near the sea offers a touch of authenticity. With its open terrace, it creates a distinct ambiance. Specializing in classic French fare, it embraces family cooking traditions. As a French individual, I confidently recommend it for an authentic and yet upscale experience. Our meal included vol-au-vent, a delightful puff pastry filled with a creamy seafood and vegetable concoction, Hachis Parmentier, an oven dish of mashed potatoes and minced beef, and perfectly grilled fish filet (Mérou), showcasing the excellence of French cuisine in a relaxed setting.
While in Pattaya, I often like to visit the Yunomori Onsen, the massage services are top-notch, and the onsen experience is perfect for unwinding.
Located on Tepprasit Road, south of Pattaya en route to Jomtien, this onsen spa facility is housed in a sizable and modern building. I guess Covid hit it badly and it does feel a bit like in needs some renovation and gardening budgets, but it’s still very nice. There’s a wide range of amenities, it includes indoor and outdoor baths, a sauna, and a hamam, it’s a great onsen experience. Additionally, the venue features a restaurant and café, accompanied by a relaxation area, providing a perfect setting to unwind. The spa has the usual services, I usually get a Thai massage after the onsen, their therapists are great and the rooms very quiet and cosy. 1000 THB for onsen + massage.
We stayed an additional day, and after a relaxing the morning at the villa, we made our way back to Jomtien and enjoyed a lunch at Cave Beach Club.
A popular beachfront club in Pattaya, Thailand, renowned for its stylish ambiance, delectable Thai cuisine, and breathtaking ocean views. It’s actually not in Pattaya but on the Na Jomtien beach even more south of Jomtien. With its Bali-inspired decor and comfortable seating directly on the sand, it offers a serene and inviting atmosphere perfect for unwinding and enjoying the coastal lifestyle.
And on our way back the next day, we stopped at Mum Aroi Sriracha, a huge and famous seafood restaurant in Sriracha.
Overlooking the sea in Sriracha, right across from Samitivej Sriracha hospital, is a spacious Thai seafood restaurant, part of an old family chain found in Pattaya and Bangkok. The menu is vast, featuring a variety of Thai seafood dishes. Notable items include succulent steamed blue crab, a crowd-pleaser with its tender meat and rich flavor. The restaurant offers a relaxed beachfront atmosphere, the service is professional and fast, as it’s crowded at any time. A good spot to enjoy Thai seafood in a classy but popular setting.
